The worst fear for almost every parent is that their child will be abducted, assaulted or molested. We see violence against children in big cities and small communities, in parks, front yards, at school, and now, abductors are using the Internet to lure our children. Although many people believe it will never happen to "my child", we should remember that statistics tell a different story. What are we as parents able to do to help protect our children in this increasingly complex world? We want to believe that our children will always be safe, but if we don't teach them how to protect themselves, how would they know what to do when faced with a potentially dangerous situation? It is not enough to simply tell our children not to talk to strangers.
RAD Kids Personal Safety Workshop:
· The FBI estimates that over 500,000 children suffer from abduction or attempted abduction each year in this country
· Approximately 1/3 of sexual assaults reported to law enforcement today involve children under 12 years of age.
· There is one Registered Sexual Offender (Predator) per square mile in this country.
RAD Kids is a personal safety and life skills educational programs filled with hope, options, and realistic choices to escape violence. The program includes activities based on building confidence and self esteem so they truly gain the knowledge and confidence to make positive choices with their personal safety. Women's Personal Safety Workshops: The STREETSMART PERSONAL SAFETY & SELF DEFENSE WORKSHOP is a comprehensive program developed by women and for women of all ages and physical abilities. Having the belief that “It will never happen to me” is one of the biggest mistakes we can make with our personal safety. Crime can and does happen to women all over the country every day, women who never planned to be victims. While none of us is immune from the possibility of being targeted, we at STREETSMART can teach you critical skills to help you reduce your chances of becoming a crime victim, and increase your chances of escaping and surviving an attack should the unfortunate moment occur. |
NOT a simple discussion of safety do’s and don’ts and NOT a sales pitch for martial arts or security products, our unique program provides easy and effective tips, tools, and techniques allowing you to immediately improve your personal safety skills.
Through awareness and prevention strategies, boundary-setting, verbal confrontation skills, and physical defense tactics, you will learn to use your strengths against an attacker’s weaknesses, regardless of his size.
This is a “hands-on” workshop allowing you to practice newly learned techniques in staged crime scenarios that can prepare you to handle a situation more effectively should you ever find yourself in a threatening position.

RAD For Women Program:
The Rape Aggression Defense System is a program of realistic self-defense tactics and techniques for women. The R.A.D. System is a comprehensive, women-only course that begins with awareness, prevention, risk reduction and risk avoidance, while progressing on to the basics of hands-on defense training.
R.A.D. is not a Martial Arts program. Our courses are taught by nationally certified R.A.D. Instructors and provide each student with a workbook/reference manual. The Rad for Women program is a comprehensive 8-10 hour program covering a wide range of personal safety and self defense strategies.
